Yes. We connect via your broker's official API (currently Public.com). API keys are stored encrypted in your .env file and never transmitted to our servers. Avero only has trade-execution permissions � it cannot withdraw funds.

There is no minimum enforced by Avero. Your broker may have minimums (Public.com requires $8). For meaningful live trading results with position sizing, we recommend at least $500 in equity, but the platform works at any balance.

The signal engine runs a full market scan during trading hours. Morning scans run at market open, with continuous monitoring throughout the session. You can also trigger a manual scan from the dashboard at any time.

In traditional charting, indicators can "repaint" � the signal that appears on a historical bar can change retroactively, making backtests look better than reality. Avero's signal log is immutable: once a signal is recorded, it cannot be altered. This is enforced at 882+ points in the codebase and verified by 88 automated regression tests on every deployment. Their outputs are combined using Born-rule probability weighting � the quantum mechanics-inspired method where probabilities are squared before normalizing. This makes high-confidence signals disproportionately influential while suppressing noise.

Each provider has an independent circuit breaker. If a provider fails, the ensemble continues with the remaining providers. If all providers fail, the system falls back to a heuristic signal based on technical indicators alone (RSI, MACD, Bollinger) and logs the degradation in the self-awareness dashboard.
